The system consists of two parts:

  • Micropod FCA (mandatory) - P/N 71777224
  • Panasonic Laptop PC (optional) - P/N 2022204280

The components can be purchased separately.
Alternatively, the complete kit can by ordered was P/N 71777895.

To diagnose vehicles prior to 2016, an additional MicroPOD is required for use in wiTECHPlus mode.

Access the specific tools catalogue to order wiTECH2.0.

  1. Select Tools and Equipment in the Services menu.
  2. On the page that appears, click on the Mopar® Essential Tools and Service Equipment logo.
  3. Add the Part Numbers you want to the shopping cart.
  4. In the countries in which the service is active, the products can be purchased directly from this portal. Six buttons are present on the shopping cart page if this option is available. The last page allows to proceed with the purchase.
  5. An invoice can be printed in countries in which the service is not active (only five buttons are present on the page). You can contact the closest dealer for purchasing:

To activate wiTECH2.0, communicate the serial number of the MicroPOD to be associated to your username to the Contacts Areas.
After having associated username and MicroPOD you will need to purchase a one-year subscription, like authorised repairers, to activate wiTECHPlus Packages in order to use it online.
This subscription can be purchased on the Technical Information website in the Purchase menu.

The system works in two different ways, depending on the vehicles you need to work on.

Older vehicles (approximately until 2016) use the wiTECHPlus system, which works locally with a client, i.e. a SW installed on your PC (to be used the first time) through the use of subscriptions through the Technical Information portal:

  1. On the personal menu select Your Subscriptions
  2. On the menu which appears (where Technical Documentation is highlighted) select wiTECHPlus Packages
  3. Click on the arrow by the side of the subscription
  4. A menu will open on the right. Select the wiTECHPlus button on the bottom right
  5. The first time, you must download the wiTECH Plus package from the Software -> Download menu on the wiTEXEDI portal which will open

Once the installation is complete, use the wiTECHPlus application that you will find on your desktop.

Newer vehicles use the wiTECH2.0 system, which works on the cloud, i.e. it does not require the installation of SW on your PC, but requires a SW upgrade of the MicroPOD (to be done the first time) by using subscriptions on the Technical Information portal:

  1. On the personal menu select Your Subscriptions
  2. On the menu which appears (where Technical Documentation is highlighted) select wiTECHPlus Packages
  3. Click on the arrow by the side of the subscription
  4. A menu will open on the right. Select the wiTECHPlus button on the bottom right
  5. The first time, you must download MicroPOD Setup Utility EMEA from the Software ->Download menu on the wiTEXEDI portal which will open
  6. For installation instructions, see the guide in Documentation ->wiTECH2.0

Once the MicroPOD has been updated, it cannot be set back to wiTECHPlus mode, so it is essential to be able to identify/distinguish the two MicroPODs, so as to avoid malfunctioning on older vehicles in case of incorrect upgrades.

When installation is complete, log in by clicking on the logo by the side to use wiTECH2.0.

Fill in the various fields which appear on the screen as follows:

  1. Username: your username
  2. Password: the current password for accessing the portal
  3. Dealer CODE: your VAT number as it appears on your profile. Remove initial zeros (0) and other special characters, such as dashed (-) and dots (.), if present.
  4. Environment: select Link-E-Entry instead of DealerCONNECT
