After the entry into force of all requirements related to ISO norm 18541 and SERMI scheme, and the overlap with the birth of Stellantis group, the management of Independent Operators has become more complex. After monitoring the issues faced by the user that already had access to this portal, and by the new users, there was a big increase of cases related to:
- correct registration and validation of users, especially for the employees of and Independent Operator, according to the definition of all secondary users in ISO 18541
- correct activation of the official diagnostic tool by Stellantis, called wiTECH, especially to activate the access to all models for the brands Fiat, Fiat Professional, Lancia, Alfa Romeo and Abarth
- access to advanced diagnostics features, especially to security operations, i.e. those routines related to the SERMI scheme
We have updated and extended as much as possible the STANDARDIZED NAVIGATION, as required by ISO 18541, but calls for help remained a lot, and they could not be managed internally.
For this reason, Stellantis Europe S.p.A. is glad to announce the activation of a paid helpdesk channel, in collaboration with A.S.N. S.r.l., which will take care of these specific issues.
In the linked portal, managed by A.S.N. S.r.l., you will find support for the main issues that impact the daily business of repairers:
- User creation, both for the Legal Representative of a Company (LRC), and for its employees. Our partner will ensure that the correct documents are available to support a quick user validation and eventually the activation of the access to security-related RMI (in markets where the SERMI scheme is not yet active).
- VCI activation, both in the case of MicroPOD/MDP (Stellantis official VCIs) and of third-parties tools (defined with the name PassThru SAE J2534 VCIs in ISO 18541). It is eventually possible to ask for a final test after activation, to ensure that all was properly installed and initialized. In case of second hand MicroPODs/MDPs, our partner will also ensure the proper deletion of any previous registration in Stellantis systems, to avoid any conflict that would prevent the correct working of the tool.
- Technical support to use RMI, in sessions of maximum 30 minutes. Our partner will provide general information about the portal features, the available subscriptions (type and use), also in connection with the advanced diagnostics features. If the user so wishes, it can even purchase the subscriptions, thus avoiding to move backwards and onwards among portals to get the correct package.
- Technical support with VCIs, in sessions of maximum 60 minutes. Our partner will provide support to correctly install and initialize the VCI, and eventually for its connection to WiFi. Furthermore, it will provide general information about diagnostic subscriptions (type and use), also in connection with the advanced diagnostic features. If the user so wishes, it can even purchase the subscriptions, thus avoiding to move backwards and onwards among portals to get the correct package.
